This mid-century home in Bolton sold for $845,000 months after a sale fell through in the spring. Here’s how it speaks to the market decline across the GTA. Estate&utm_content=treebungalow_O

Located a few minutes south of the Humber River, this small, mid-century bungalow at 218 Victoria St. sits on a little under half an acre of conservation land. The “Frank Llyod Wright-inspired home” was built in 1958 and features two bedrooms, one bathroom, a large backyard, ample parking space, and a spacious wooden patio. It’s updated with modern amenities like central air conditioning, and estimated at a little over 1100 square feet.

“It was very typical back in March to see something like this,” Lichtmore said. “That was a crazy market that we were in.” In early August, the Bolton house was put back on the market, once again listed for just $1,000 shy of a million dollars. It eventually sold in the latter half of September for 15 per cent less than asking — and 25 per cent less than the sale price in the spring. Earlier this month, the home was leased for $2,300.
