What will Squid Game 2 be about?
Summary SCREENRANT VIDEO OF THE DAY SCROLL TO CONTINUE WITH CONTENT Lee Jung-jae’s Seong Gi-gun returns in Squid Game season 2, but the show’s most important character should no longer be Player 456. Even though Squid Game did not necessarily ask for a sequel, the series was bound to continue after it broke all sorts of records to become Netflix’s biggest show of all time.
The Front Man Should Be Squid Game Season 2’s Most Important Character The Front Man’s past has yet to be explored Close Actor Lee Byung-hun will reprise his role as the Front Man in Squid Game season 2, and the character is set to be even more important than Gi-hun based on how the first season ended. While Gi-hun is Squid Game’s main character and will continue to be the focus of the show, there are more unanswered questions about the Front Man than about player 456.
Additionally, since Il-num died in Squid Game’s finale, the Front Man might now be the one running everything, or at least the Korean games. It is unclear who will be in charge of the operation following the death of “Player 001,” but the Front Man is the one who called Gwi-num in episode 10 to tell Player 456 not to come after him. If the Front Man is now the one in charge, this would give him an even bigger role in Squid Game2 than he had in season 1.
It has also been established that In-ho donated a kidney to his brother, indicating he once cared about his family. However, after revealing himself to Jun-ho, the Front Man shot his own brother without showing any remorse. While Jun-ho survived, what happened between him and his brother toward the end of season 1 indicates that the Front Man may be beyond redemption.
