The study compared the 100 most populated cities and scored them based on the cost of ownership and maintenance, traffic and infrastructure, safety, and access to vehicles and maintenance. Some of the specific areas in the study were the number of hours spent annually in traffic congestion, average commute time, accidents and traffic fatalities, and the number of car dealerships per capita.
Raleigh, N.C., was the only city that topped Plano. Plano earned a total of 66.96 points and scored the highest in access to vehicles and maintenance and traffic and infrastructure .
