“The general public, the first thing they want is to travel to places where you’re seeing the cannabis growing, and you’re learning about it, and you can taste it and sample it and purchase it,” Becker explains. “That’s really what they want to have.”The organization also wants cannabis products to be available to consumers in places like cafés and restaurants.
The public consumption of cannabis is an area that remains in a bit of a haze, however. CCTA argues that while the sales of cannabis have been implemented effectively, the feds failed to consider how people want to consume and where they’re going to consume. Cannabis isn’t for sale on-site, but people can gather there for education and connoisseur sessions, as well as community-building events and online programming.
