While I was pregnant, I took it really easy. I didn’t want to work a lot. I really wanted to use every moment to do something that I wanted to do. About three weeks after I gave birth, in 2019, I attended the Cannes Film Festival. When you’re pregnant, you always think of life after giving birth. You’re like, Oh, my God, will my body be gone? Will I be able to work again? As a woman, you are always asked all sorts of questions, and, at the same time, are asking yourself these questions too.
I always think about my daughter. I do this work for myself, but also for her and for her to be proud of me. I left home super early; I was only 15. I always wanted to go so quickly in life to work or learn a language or anything. I always had this feeling of being late, so I always wanted to do more and more. When I had my baby, at one point, I thought, Well, what am I going to do now? Because that was the most extraordinary accomplishment I could achieve in my life.
