It’s never too late to follow your dreams. And a 75-year-old grandmother in North Carolina has a degree to prove it.
That’s when Inge hopped on a train, leaving her home in Sanford, Florida, to pursue a college degree in Raleigh.
However, job opportunities, marriage, and then in 1968, the birth of her daughter put college on the back burner. When Inge’s husband passed away in 2015, she decided to return to the Shaw campus to finish what she started by re-enrolling.
