One clinic is trying to fill the gap with virtual appointments for trans and non-binary people — but Ontario patients have to pay.Dr. Kate Greenaway is the medical director of Foria, a virtual-only clinic for gender-affirming care. She launched the privately run service after her former clinic closed due to funding changes by the Ontario government.

In a statement, ministry spokesperson Hannah Jensen said changes to the billing agreement for physicians were negotiated between the ministry and the Ontario Medical Association.
