A Newark cop had his gun stolen when his pickup truck was broken into at a gym in Belleville on Friday night.

Three vehicles were broken into at the Signature Fitness gym on Cortlandt Street on Friday night, police said. One of the vehicles was a 2021 Ford pickup truck owned by a Newark Police officer who had his gun, holster and ID card in the cab, police said.
