Reuters has reported that Navalny was put in a punishment cell for 15 days on New Year’s Eve; it’s the 10th time Navalny has been sent there in the past five months. The reasons include washing his face at the wrong time and failing to button his prison outfit.Article content In a series of tweets late last week, Navalny described how the prison had stationed a “psycho” in a nearby cell, who shrieked at all hours, depriving Navalny of sleep. Roher said he has been unable to speak to Navalny, but has been in touch with his family and team.
“The international community must follow the lead of the Germans to … demand that he receive medical attention,” Roher said.Article content The film traces Navalny’s rise to prominence, but focuses on the events of August 2020, when Navalny suddenly fell ill after visiting Tomsk, in Siberia. He was rushed to a hospital in Berlin, and it was discovered that he had been poisoned with Novichok, a nerve agent that has been used to assassinate enemies of Russia.Article contentAfter being released, Navalny’s team, plus Grozev and other journalists, embarked on a journey to expose the men who planned his poisoning.
