Rather unsurprisingly, ‘moist’ has been voted as one of the grossest words in the English language.It seems there are two other words that make our skin crawl more.has used data available on voting site Ranker to discover the words that have been voted as the ‘grossest sounding.’Taking the top spot is the word ‘pus’ – with almost 10,000 votes. This was followed by ‘phlegm’ close behind in second position, with 8,984 votes.
