The National Weather Service in Birmingham has issued a frost advisory that will go into effect early Thursday morning for several counties in southeast Alabama. 🥶
Low temperatures in that area are expected to be as low as 33 degrees overnight, according to the weather service. They have not had a widespread freeze yet, which is why they are under an advisory.
The rest of the state will be cold as well. Lows overnight will range from the mid-20s in north Alabama to the low to mid-30s in central Alabama and the mid- to upper 30s in south Alabama . Thursday night could be even colder, and the weather service has issued a freeze watch for the same counties that are in the frost advisory. The freeze watch will be in effect from late Thursday night through Friday morning.
