The carnival was founded on the mission of displaying and honouring the diverse cultural landscape of Asia, and, packing the roster year after year ultra-appetizing food vendors from all over the city, it's fair to say they succeed.
While the festival has yet to announce the exact food vendors that'll be present at this year's carnival, you can expect to sink your teeth into a range of different regional cuisines, from halo-halo to Hong Kong waffles, takoyaki to tteokbokki and beyond. This year, the festival is centred around the theme"experience the heartbeat of Korea," so, while you can tuck into tasty offerings from a whole host of countries, expect there to be an extra dose of Korean delicacies on offer.
It's not just the food at the carnival that'll be giving you a taste of Asia — the festival also features a dynamic lineup of live entertainment, running the gamut from traditional dance performances to contemporary music acts. There's even a fireworks show planned for the Saturday night of the festival, to honour and celebrate the vibrant array of Asian cultures represented at the festival.at 1571 Sandhurst Circle in Scarborough, and runs from 5 p.m. on Sept 6 to 6 p.m. on Sept 8.
