The sentence came after afound Holmes guilty Jan.
"Over the course of many years, Elizabeth Holmes defrauded dozens of investors of hundreds of millions of dollars," Holmes' sentencing memorandum states."Time and again, she chose deceit over candor. She forged her own endorsements. She preyed on hopes of her investors that a young, dynamic entrepreneur had changed healthcare. She leveraged the credibility of her illustrious board.
Davila ordered Holmes to surrender herself to the U.S. Marshals Service by April 27, 2023. According to a court filing, when the 38-year-old begins serving her sentence, it could be at a federal prison camp in Bryan.Holmes lives in northern California, but she was raised primarily in Washington, D.C., and Houston with her brother. Serving her sentence in Bryan would allow her to be closer to family.Holmes and her partner, Billy Evans, have a 16-month-old boy.
