OpEd: '[Biden officials] have the energy of the kids in high school who act like jerks because they think they’re at the outcasts’ table, despite being the richest kids in school — or, in adult terms, working for the literal president of the U.S.'

When I got COVID right before Christmas, I was able to quarantine safely until I started testing negative, and I’m grateful to have had three vaccination shots before I tested positive. Yet I was still terrified when I got that result.

The dismissive, jokey attitude of White House officials feels wholly inappropriate. It’s like our leaders and their representatives think they’re written by Aaron Sorkin — like the goal of their public communications is a “check out Psaki’s clap-back!” headline. But this isn’t, Psaki isn’t CJ Cregg, and this isn’t anyone’s time to shine. To cite that ancient adage: Kim, there’s people that are dying. This is embarrassing.
