Screen Rant is pleased to present an exclusive clip from this week's episode of The Watchful Eye. The Freeform mystery series combines thriller elements with a supernatural tone, focusing on an eerie building owned by the Greybourne family that appears to attract bad luck and tragic endings. When the sweet yet sinister Elena Santos becomes a nanny in order to make her way into the Greybourne and steal a ruby, she finds herself facing forces with plans more malevolent than her own.
SCREENRANT VIDEO OF THE DAY The Watchful Eye also stars Warren Christie as Matthew Ward, the widower of Greybourne descendant Allie and Elena's new boss. Person of Interest's Amy Acker has also joined the cast as Allie's sister Tory, whose animosity towards Elena is less about suspicion and more a matter of pure jealousy. Finally, The Walking Dead: World Beyond's Aliyah Royale plays fellow nanny Ginny, whose help might be even more valuable to Elena than she knows.
Given that Elena previously lied about her mother's passing, "The Nanny Vanishes" may for her to confront her past and put her in a tough position given that she's already promised not to lie anymore. In addition, her recent ghost sightings and fear of being watched are increasing her paranoia, making for what is sure to be an uncomfortable experience in this week's The Watchful Eye.
Freeform is home to several mystery-themed series that have caught the attention of the public over the years, most recently Cruel Summer, which will premiere its second season this year with a new cast.
