MONTGOMERY, Ala. - It was another cold morning on this Tuesday with temperatures starting in the middle and upper 30s. Frost was observed in a handful of spots too. Now it’s warming up nicely courtesy of plenty of morning sunshine.Highs today will eventually top out in the lower 70s with plenty of sunshine. Another chilly night comes tonight with temperatures dipping into the lower 40s. Highs then rebound nicely into the mid-70s tomorrow under a partly cloudy sky.
Partly cloudy skies are again in the forecast Thursday with even warmer highs around 80⁰. Thursday will be dry for most everyone with only an isolated shower or storm possible during the second half of the day.Showers and thunderstorms become possible Thursday night and remain possible, if not likely at times, Friday and Friday night. Based on current forecast guidance, some heavy rain and a few strong storms will be possible.
However, once again we’re looking at a couple to several inches of rainfall. The good news is it won’t all come at once. The most likely outcome is a solid two to four inches of rain over a roughly 72-hour period. We’ll have to monitor for any flooding concerns given the already saturated soils.Highs will stay warm in the upper 70s both Friday and Saturday. Then it trends a bit cooler...
We’ll top out in the lower 70s Sunday and then fall into the upper 50s and lower 60s for highs to start next week. There’s a good chance we’ll string together another two or three chilly nights early next week too.
