With rumors of a Twitter collapse following the layoffs and resignations of thousands of employees in recent weeks, some social media users are jumping to Mastodon.
It's made up of a network of servers. While each runs independently, people on their own server –– are able to connect with people on different servers, as long as those servers aren't blocked.
