'The system needs to change': Police associations join forces to decry officers' deaths | CBC News

There is a 'growing wave of violence against police and the communities they serve and protect,' said four of Canada's largest police associations in a joint statement released two days after the funeral for Const. Greg Pierzchala.

5 officers were killed in the line of duty in Canada in 2022, 4 in the last 4 months in Ontario aloneFrom left to right, Const. Andrew Hong, Const. Morgan Russell , Const. Devon Northrup , Const. Shaelyn Yang , and Const.

Grzegorz Pierzchala , were all killed this year in the line of duty.
