On his latest podcast, the retired basketball star recounted the music icon’s surprise visit to a nightclub that Carter owned in the downtown core.
, Manuela Testolini. He was a big NBA fan, and spotted courtside at Raptors games. He was also known to rock a Vince Carter jersey at some of his concerts.. In the podcast, he said they had “some interesting nights” with some cool people who came through at the club.It was one of those nights that a security guard told them that Prince was outside. He wanted some VIP seats and the lights dimmed to avoid any commotion.
“He said that he heard about our club and he had to see it for himself,” said Carter, insisting that they didn’t do any radio or TV promotions, and that people only knew about the club through word-of-mouth.
