Jacquline Abram, 65, was last seen on Tuesday around noon in the County Road 50 and 30th Sideroad area in Adjala-Tosorontio Township.

Provincial Police say the search for Jacquline Abram continues, days after she went missing. Abram, 65, was last seen on Tuesday around noon in the County Road 50 and 30 th Sideroad area in Adjala-Tosorontio Township.

In an interview with CTV News on Friday morning, OPP say the search for Abram is urgent.

“We do not believe she has any other friends or family in the area who she’d be able to go,” OPP Cst. CJ Hietanen said in an interview with CTV News on Friday morning.

“ does not have access to a vehicle, so we believe she’s on foot,” Hietanen said. Nottawasaga Ontario Provincial Police are asking nearby residents to check their properties, including outbuildings such as barns, sheds, and garages for any possible signs of the missing woman.

“Given her age and non-access to a vehicle, the changing of the seasons - it’s getting quite cold at night and we do not believe she has anywhere to stay in doors,” Hietanen said. Residents are also asked to review any surveillance camera footage for possible sightings. Abram is described as five feet 11 inches tall, with a slim build and shoulder length wavy grey/silver hair.

She was last seen wearing light beige pants, a light grey bomber style coat and brown or purple shoes with white stripes. She was also carrying brown or purple backpack with white stripes.

“Searches for missing people is tough regardless of the seasons, however, getting down to single digit temperatures at night, it’s not difficult for someone to reach hypothermia in a short period of time,” Hietanen said. Hietanen said upwards of 15 OPP officers work on missing persons cases at any given time, as they are with the case of Abram.

“We have an emergency response team on the ground doing ground searches, as well as the helicopter in the air,” said Hietanen. Anyone with information is asked to contact OPP at 1-888-310-1122. Or you can contact Crime Stoppers anonymously at 1-800-222-8477. With files from CTV’s Cheryl Browne.
