I’ve done this with basmati and jasmine rice and both times it came out perfect with fluffy distinct grains of rice. The ratio seems off but it’s not. Perfect pot of rice indeed.07/04/19
This is my ultimate technique. I used to just cook white rice like pasta but this method yields perfect texture.Listen: this recipe works. If it doesn't, then you did it wrong...sorry. I originally thought the ratio was a little off too, but keep the heat as low as it can go, and – as the recipe says – do NOT lift the lid while it's cooking, just trust the kitchen chemistry/magic and fry up some tofu or something in the meantime.
