As crazy as it sounds, after a string of too many bad football games that led to the firing of head coach Paul LaPolice, the Ottawa Redblacks have a chance to slide into the CFL playoffs.
There are never parades for teams that have won just four of 15 games. And it’s not like you can flick a switch and be elite. But baby steps. One day at a time, one game at a time.
On Monday, the Redblacks scuffled offensively in the first half, trailing 15-7; a couple of fumbles cost them just two field goals thanks to the defence. The offence got its act together in the second half under tough circumstances – with Powell, Dedmon and Jaelon Acklin out of the game.Article content
