Oakland Raiders general manager Mike Mayock is experiencing buyer's remorse.
Brown filed two grievances against the NFL, including a warning that “if [Brown] suffered a head injury in a helmet that he is compelled to wear, he would hold the league liable.” This, although the NFL worked closely with the NFL Player's Association to define restrictions in the best interests of player safety.
“Here’s the bottom line,” Mayock said in a statement to reporters that was quickly tweeted out by the team. “He’s upset about the helmet issue. We have supported that. We appreciate that, OK? … But at this point, we pretty much exhausted all avenues of relief, so from our perspective, it’s time for him to be all in or all out, OK? So we’re hoping that he is back soon."

How can Mayock possibly be shocked? Everything about this situation feels surprisingly obvious as if this train wreck was inevitable from the moment Brown signed the contract.Since 2013, Antonio Brown has averaged 115 receptions, 1,529 yards and 12 touchdowns. Objectively, he produced the greatest five-year stretch in the history of the National Football League.
