“This became a status item among young adult women, and that’s kind of trickling down to a younger audience, where this is the cool water cup or water bottle,” he told CBC Kids News.Anum Rubec has also noticed the change. She’s a Toronto-area marketing consultant and content creator who has been following the Stanley trend on social media.
And Crowley thinks her down-to-earth image also makes her a great fit for Stanley: “This seems like a normal-person kind of product and she has a normal-person kind of vibe, even though she’s massively famous.” Stanley has created collab mugs with other celebrities, like country singer Lainey Wilson. Sometimes a company’s marketing department will come up with a list of celebrities whose image and fan base match the kind of people they want to buy their products.
