Cardinals quarterback Kyler Murray is showing a different side of himself this season. He's taken ownership of his role and has become more vocal.

Murray is becoming more and more vocal this season, his fourth in the NFL. He doesn’t sugarcoat his thoughts as he did early in his career. He says what’s on his mind and according to coach Kliff Kingsbury, if the quarterback feels the need to pull a player aside and give him a tongue lashing, he isn’t afraid to do it.. Or maybe it was just time.

During his first three seasons, Murray was criticized for his poor body language. When something went wrong on a play, the cameras always caught him scowling or flinging his helmet in disgust. He’d sit on the bench and sulk. “A closed mouth doesn’t get fed, that’s how I see it. So any way I can give my energy, give my mental to a young guy or somebody that may not be doing the right things, I’ve got to do it. … Losing, it just grinds on you. I don’t need to go into further depth. There comes a time and place where it’s like enough is enough.”Instead of just getting mad and yelling at someone, Murray is now the adult in the room.
