It was broken only by the bone-white Frioul archipelago on the horizon, and in the foreground, a few kids diving into the sea from high rocks. This might be a classic oceanside panorama in Provence, but the restaurant’s fastidiously white-and-blonde-wood décor revealed how much this southern patch of France has changed.
