The Marvels, which is set to be released in theaters on July 28, 2023, is a sequel to the 2019 film Captain Marvel. Larson will be returning as Carol Danvers/Captain Marvel, but this time she will be joined by Iman Vellani as Kamala Khan/Ms. Marvel and Teyonah Parris as Monica Rambeau. Today, Screen Rant had the opportunity to attend the Marvel panel at D23 Expo 2022, where footage from The Marvels was shared. Although the footage is not available online yet, we are able to share a description of what they presented. The footage begins on the Saber space station, where Monica is getting readings and is blasted out into space.
