The Last of Us star Pedro Pascal discusses his relationship with co-star Bella Ramsey. Pascal and Ramsey will be playing the roles of Joel and Ellie, respectively, in the HBO television adaptation of the 2013 video game of the same name developed by Naughty Dog. Set in a post-apocalyptic future, The Last of Us follows Joel, a smuggler, as he transports a teenage girl across the dystopian country.

Additionally, due to the enormous pressure that comes with a production of this magnitude that already has a built-in and passionate fan base, it's heartwarming that the pair feel comfortable relying on each other and working together during this experience.
The Last of Us is shaping up to be a faithful adaptation of the video game, though it will be changing some aspects in order to adapt the story to the new medium. One aspect that will of course remain fixed is Joel and Ellie's moving bond, which both actors seem dedicated to capturing diligently.
