Tom Brady is retiring from football again—this time "for good."
The NFL star made the announcement this morning via Instagram. He started off a slideshow with an emotional video of himself revealing his decision and thanking everyone who has been there for him and helped him on his journey. "Good morning, guys, I'll get to the point right away. I'm retiring, for good," he says in the clip. "I know the process was a pretty big deal last time, so when I woke up this morning, I figured I'd just press record and let you guys know first. So it won't be long-winded. I think you only get one super-emotional retirement essay, and I used mine up last year."
Over the course of his 23-season career, Brady has won seven Super Bowls, five Super Bowl MVP awards, and three league MVP honors. Holding back tears, the Tampa Bay Buccaneers quarterback—formerly with the New England Patriots—continues, "So really, thank you, guys, so much to every single one of you for supporting me. My family, my friends, my teammates, my competitors, I could go on forever, there's too many. Thank you, guys, for allowing me to live my absolute dream. I wouldn't change a thing. Love you all.
