The Hurry-Up: Edwin Spillman's third visit to Ohio State will be a chance to build relationships with the new defensive coaching staff and four-star OT Ian Reed gets an offer.
Reed is ranked as the 330th-best prospect and the 25th-rated offensive tackle in the 2023 recruiting class. His 23 Division I offers thus far include Texas, Texas A&M, Alabama, Tennessee, Ole Miss, Arkansas and Clemson.
While Reed currently resides in Texas, he lived in Illinois early in his life and grew up watching Ohio State games. Reed says he wouldn’t have considered himself an OSU fan growing up, but he has plenty of his family members that were, including some that still live in Ohio today.in late March that he had conversations with offensive line coach Justin Frye and offensive line graduate assistant Mike Sollenne about OSU.
“It would be amazing,” Reed said then of potentially getting an OSU offer. “Just the whole culture and pedigree that Ohio State plays with is awesome and so are the fans.” Reed’s current plan is to narrow his list of schools down before the start of his senior season, then pick a college sometime near the December signing period.In case you missed it Tuesday, Ohio State added a seventh member to its 2023 recruiting class with
