Wentzel says that instead of builders using four or five wood boards or steel purlins to build multi-family or office buildings, they can use one of these pre-engineered, prefabricated CLT panels. “The whole mass timber industry is on an uprising wave of product acceptance,” Wentzel says. “It’s in our building codes now and building codes are changing to allow mass timber used in taller structures.”

When we’re working with shipping containers, everything is difficult, from the welding and grinding, and we just had a lot of challenges with it from structural issues to thermal bridging.
