In an announcement on UKG’s website, the company said the decision to close is “bittersweet” because company founder Tracy Borkum has continuously operated restaurants in that space at 4055 Adams Ave. since 1995. Borkum’s very first restaurant, Kensington Grill, occupied the space from 1995 to 2013, followed by Fish Public for three years. In 2016, she opened Cucina Sorella. In April, the restaurant launched a Thursday date-night menu in a bid to boost midweek business.
