Gareth Edwards’ sci-fi thriller that sees John David Washington in a war against artificial intelligence. “Ten years ago today, artificial intelligence designed to protect us detonated a nuclear warhead in Los Angeles.” The voiceover at the beginning of the trailer sets the stage for what’s to come against scenes of an obliterated LA. “This is a fight for our very existence.”
Per the logline: Amidst a future war between the human race and the forces of artificial intelligence, Joshua , a hardened ex-special forces agent grieving the disappearance of his wife , is recruited to hunt down and kill the Creator, the elusive architect of advanced AI who has developed a mysterious weapon with the power to end the war… and mankind itself.
