Just in time for summer, the CDC posted its long-awaited new guidelines for travel
Before you leave home and as soon as you reach your destination, wash your hands with soap and water for at least 20 seconds or use hand sanitizer with at least 60% alcohol.
When you arrive, look for any extra prevention practices, such as plexiglass barriers at check-in counters and physical distancing signs in the lobby. Always wear a cloth face covering when you are in the lobby or other public areas. Anytime you need to go inside, such as to use the restroom, wear a cloth face covering. Maintain a social distance of six feet or more in any entryway, hallway, or waiting area. Even if you sit outside, take precautions and wear a cloth face covering if you are dining with others who don’t live with you.
Sit in the back seat in larger vehicles such as vans and buses so you can remain at least six feet away from the driver.
