The Hurricanes now face a New York Rangers squad they were right behind in the standings all season long.
With a 6-3 win over the New York Islanders Tuesday night, the Carolina Hurricanes won their first-round series 4-1, advancing to the second round and now preparing to face the New York Rangers in Round 2.
