“This is a pretty massive winter storm for Southern California,” weather service meteorologist James Brotherton said.
There was trouble on the freeway Wednesday morning when dirt being blown across the 15 near Baker prompted the California Highway Patrol to temporarily shut down the freeway. “We will probably sell a lot of alcohol and a lot of food. They know this is a five-day storm,” Long said.
