During Sunday’s Academy Award ceremony, FX dropped a trailer for the highly anticipated second season of “FX captioned its tweet of the teaser: “It’s not a reopening, it’s a rebirth. FX’s ‘The Bear’ returns this June. Only on“The Bear” follows a young classically-trained chef who returns to Chicago to run his family’s Italian beef sandwich shop after his brother’s death. The series stars, Ebon Moss-Bachrach , Ayo Edebiri , Lionel Boyce , Liza Colón-Zayas and Abby Elliott .
Created by Christopher Storer, the second season will be 10 episodes long, two more than its first, and will focus on the new restaurant’s opening. The first season was met with great acclaim, winning at the WGAs and Indie Spirit Awards as well as receiving Golden Globe, Critics Choice and SAG nods. White took home the SAG for best actor in February, in addition to winning at Critics Choice and the Golden Globes.in January that Carmey and Sydney’s relationship will not progress past co-workers and friends in the second season. “We wanted to make something that was about friendship and a partnership,” Storer said.
