In another move, the Reds selected veteran Spanish attacking midfielder Victor Vazquez in Stage 2 of the MLS Re-Entry Draft two weeks and are still trying to get him to agree to a new contract. TFC is also currently negotiating to bring back veteran centre back Chris Mavinga. The club did not did not exercise the 2023 contract option on Mavinga, but are hoping to sign him to a new deal.Article content
Both of TFC’s veteran goalkeepers from last season and beyond — Alex Bono and Quentin Westberg — were out of contract after the 2022 campaign and the club announced that they wouldn’t be back.
