So, Friday night at the T-Mobile Center, when Disu ambled back to the locker room with a foot injury 94 seconds into Texas’ Sweet 16 matchup against third-seeded Xavier, the Longhorns didn’t wilt. And by the time Disu returned with a boot affixed to his left foot, the rout was just getting started. Disu tried to play through a bone bruise he suffered during practice but was clearly hobbled. Losing the surging senior who’d totaled 45 points on 22 of 31 shooting and 10 rebounds over the first two rounds wasn’t ideal, of course.
