It will be his fourth opening day start. Eovaldi went 12-5 with a 3.63 ERA last year in 144 innings. He missed time during the second half of the season, but returned to be the Rangers’ best starter, along with Jordan Montgomery during the postseason run.
Eovaldi was not immediately available for comment as he was throwing a morning bullpen session.
