Still, coach Steve Sarkisian was encouraged by the way Brooks performed in a high-pressure situation, with the second-largest crowd in Royal-Memorial Stadium history looking on and an undefeated program occupying the opposite sideline. Brooks played 67 defensive snaps against the Horned Frogs, tied for the fifth-most on the team. Prior to the TCU game, Brooks had played just 48 total snaps all year.
