Texas Attorney General Ken Paxton along with the Montgomery County Sheriff’s Office is taking aim at two Spring-area businesses for allegedly operating illicit massage establishments.
According to Paxton’s office, the businesses violate the Texas Deceptive Trade Practices-Consumer Protection Act.
Paxton credited Sheriff Rand Henderson and his department for investigating and developing the cases against the business. Since the beginning of this partnership, Henderson said the organized crime unit and Paxton’s office notified six property management companies that chose to close the illicit business and avoid civil litigation. However, 5 Star and Savvy Skin remained open prompting the suit to shut the businesses down.
