Texas and Texas A&M will play in football for first time since 2011 in College Station in the 2024 season.COLLEGE STATION — The revival of the state’s most revered college football rivalry has an official return year, and the first meeting in 13 years between Texas and Texas A&M will be the same site as the last one in 2011.
Texas and Oklahoma are exiting the Big 12 and entering the SEC in a little more than a year, giving the nation’s most powerful league 16 members. The SEC announced earlier this month during its annual spring meetings in Destin, Fla., that it would use an eight-game league schedule for 2024 as the SEC continues working toward a long-term model revealed within the next year and starting in 2025 .
