COLLEGE STATION — Texas A&M is up to 11 players in the NCAA transfer portal following the Friday announcement of former five-star defensive back Denver Harris, who starred at North Shore before playing one season for the Aggies.quarterback Haynes King
, defensive back Brian George, receiver Chase Lane, tight end Blake Smith, running back LJ Johnson, kicker Caden Davis, linebacker Ish Harris and defensive linemen Tunmise Adeleye, Donell Harris and Elijah Jeudy. The Aggies did not make a bowl game after finishing the season with a losing record of 5-7, including 2-6 in SEC play. A&M coach Jimbo Fisher, following the Aggies’ 30-24 loss at South Carolina on Oct. 22, indefinitely suspended four freshmen who have not been part of the program since: Denver Harris, receiver Chris Marshall, defensive lineman Anthony Lucas and offensive lineman PJ Williams.
According to multiple insiders, the foursome was caught smoking marijuana in the visitors locker room at South Carolina, although Fisher has declined to address specifics of the four suspensions in claiming he would keep the matter in-house.on a felony charge of possessing 7.7 ounces of marijuana, according to a College Station police report.
The marijuana was in a backpack with a Texas A&M football nametag on it – “52 PJ Williams Jr” – according to the report that also stated the marijuana was in “three gallon-sized plastic zip-lock style bags.”
