TerraceBC Search and Rescue makes progress on new headquarters

Terrace Search and Rescue is making strides in the development of its new headquarters at 4455 Greig Ave.

The new headquarters project began in 2017 when TSAR purchased a piece of land because it had outgrown its previous facility. Ground preparation for the new building started in November 2019, with the exterior structure completed in 2020. TSAR, a non-profit volunteer-based organization serving northwest British Columbia, is a critical service in the region, providing assistance 24 hours a day, seven days a week, 365 days a year.

Services offered by TSAR include water rescue and recovery, ground searches and rescue, disaster scene assistance, and mutual aid to other search and rescue teams.
