TerraceBC RCMP week in review: 354 calls to police
Terrace RCMP responded to about 354 calls for service between Dec. 5 and Dec. 18. Ongoing mischief at local dealerships, an unknown driver colliding with a bus, break-and-enter and theft stand out.On the evening of Dec. 11, police responded to a report of a hit and run involving a bus and possible black or blue SUV. The suspect vehicle was reported to have crossed the center line, swiping the side of the bus and leaving scratches down the side.
Also on Dec. 16, one vehicle at an alternate dealership was also broken into by smashing a window. The suspect in this incident is also yet unknown to police. RCMP can’t yet confirm if the two cases are related or if the suspects are the same.On the afternoon of Dec. 17, an officer observed a vehicle travelling at an excessive rate of speed and radar was locked in at a speed of 109 km/hr in a 60 km/hr zone in the Jack Pine area on Old Lakelse Lake Drive.
