The Terrace community celebrated the New Year with a heartwarming winter feast at The Garage on January 10th. Organized by Sharon Bandstra and Amber Moloney, the event provided a much-needed boost of warmth and support in the midst of the post-holiday blues.
The Christmas spirit continued into the New Year as the Terrace community enjoyed a winter feast on Jan. 10 at The Garage, a community space for people in need.
"Debbie Bisson donated 120 delicious cupcakes. The Food Bank and several individuals donated some of the food," she wrote."Chef Ikram from the Days Inn/White Spot prepared the top sirloin roast to perfection for us. A local group, Global Peace Heroes baked wonderful decorated cookies. Scotiabank donated a generous amount that enabled us to buy the roast and hams. Other donations from individuals allowed us to buy the rest of the food supplies.
Throughout the year, The Garage hosts Outreach Thursdays during which they help people in need of a warm meal and, for the winter months, warm clothing.
