Taylor Steel, 19, was banned from the roads for two years after the crash at Buck Barn services on the A24 near Horsham, West Sussex, on November 24.
A teenager who was nearly three times over the limit when he crashed into a McDonald’s restaurant took the term drive-thru ‘a bit too literally’.
After causing extensive damage to the restaurant, Steel, from the village of Ashington, failed a breath test. It showed he had 101mcg of alcohol her 100ml of breath – almost three times the legal drink-drive limit of 35mcg.He said he didn’t know why he drove the car or where he intended to go, according to Sussex Police.
