The two girls are among eight individuals charged in the death of Kenneth Lee, who, according to court testimony, died on December 18, 2022, after being beaten and stabbed in a downtown Toronto parkette.
The younger girl pleaded guilty through her lawyer to the lesser charge of manslaughter as the trial commenced on Monday, but the plea was rejected by the Crown.
