According to the Houston Police Department, three teens had met up at the apartment for some kind of transaction when two of them started beating the third.

Instead, his mother, who was inside the apartment, handed him a gun. Police say he went back outside and the teens started threatening his mother so he shot them both. One died at the scene and the other was rushed to an area hospital with non-life-threatening injuries. Their names haven't been released.
